After giving a presentation in Dunedin in September 2008, I headed off to Queenstown for a break. The Shotover river provides a perfect location for the drivers of Shotover Jets to do their amazing turns. It was great fun and the driver's skills were impressive.
Looking from the front of the boat, I'm at the very back row, second from the right. When the camera changes to the back of the boat, the back of my head is on the left of the video in the row closest to the camera.
The hand signal that you see the driver doing is a warning to us all that he's about to do a spin. On the way back into town on the bus, the driver did the same thing at one point just to scare the hell out of us!
