By the time I started in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, WebCT (the University's Learning Management System at the time) had been in use in the University for a number of years. Surprisingly no-one had ever written online support material for staff on how to use it. As part of my role as an eLearning Facilitator, I developed and maintained an eLearning website to support staff. The site also featured support for Adobe Connect (formerly known as Macromedia Breeze - a flash-based web-conferencing and presentation system) as well as information on other technologies and their use in eLearning.
I was also the first person at Massey University to develop support material online for students who were using our Learning Management System. Student support wasn't actually part of my responsibility (there was just an obvious need for support) and ultimately we donated the student FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) to a central student support site once they saw the benefit of the material.
