Adobe Connect and Masters research
The introduction and adoption of the Adobe Connect and Adobe Presenter technologies into Massey University is something I am exceptionally proud of achieving.
I decided to focus my research report for my Master of Education on the use of Adobe Connect and Adobe Presenter at Massey University. Particularly, I focussed on the staff (but mostly student) perceptions of synchronous and asynchronous tools. The research was a great experience to get a lot of feedback about student perceptions and preferences, and only deepened my belief that my introduction of these two technologies into the University significantly improved teaching delivery by those staff that decided to embrace the technologies.

In 2010, I was a Keynote speaker presenting on Massey's use of Adobe Connect and my research at the LearnX Conference in Sydney, Australia. - Click here for a PDF of my presentation
Here are some additional multimedia presentations that I developed related to the use of Adobe Connect and Adobe Presenter at Massey University:
- Adobe kindly invited me to be a presenter at the Adobe Education Leadership Forum in Kuala Lumpur, April 2008. My presentation was on how I introduced the Adobe Connect web-conferencing and presentation system in to Massey University and how we were making use of the system with our staff and students - Click here to view an Adobe Presenter version of the presentation
- An animation (created using Adobe Captivate in 2007) that guided staff through the process of how to publish presentations to the Adobe Connect server at Massey University - Click here to view the presentation
- An animation (created using Adobe Captivate in 2006) that was designed to be played within an Adobe Connect meeting when participants first arrived in the meeting - Click here to view the presentation
- A multimedia presentation (created using Adobe Captivate in 2008) giving tips when using Adobe Connect - Click here to view the presentation
Please note - These presentations were created using now obsolete versions of Adobe Captivate and Adobe Presenter. The versions you can access here have been converted to HTML5 in 2017 and scaled up for all devices, but otherwise remain unchanged.
