Multimedia Development

In 2005, The Department of Information Systems (now defunct) at Massey University contacted me and asked me to develop a Flash based presentation. The presentation was to be distributed on the web and via CD to inform prospective students about studying at Massey and studying Information Systems.

The presentation included interactive components, inbuilt Flash video clips and could be delivered at full-screen and at low bandwidth based on user preference. Many aspects of the work (such as the green screen work used with Rawinia) was done on an exceptionally limited budget.

In 2006 I was part of a group that captured the student performances for College Street Normal. The performances were captured over two nights featuring three cameras and one stills photographer. I then used Final Cut Pro to edit the material and build an interactive DVD featuring performances held at the Regent Theatre, Palmerston North. The DVD included sideshow presentations of the images taken over the two nights.

Here are some additional multimedia presentations that I developed related to the use of Adobe Connect and Adobe Presenter at Massey University:

  • An animation (created using Adobe Captivate) that guided staff through the process of how to publish presentations to the Adobe Connect server at Massey University - Click here to view the presentation
  • An Adobe Presenter presentation (containing audio of me talking) where I explain the difference between Adobe Presenter and Adobe Connect - Click here to view the presentation
  • An animation (created using Adobe Captivate) that was designed to be played within an Adobe Connect meeting when participants first arrived in the meeting - Click here to view the presentation
  • A multimedia presentation formatted as a PDF (Adobe Reader is needed to view this PDF and the animations embedded within it) giving tips when using Adobe Connect - Click here for the PDF
  • An animation (created using Adobe Captivate) that introduced staff to a number of new extensions that had been added to the Adobe Connect server at Massey University - Click here to view the presentation
